Last night (March 21st, 2012) 250 media, VIP clients and socialites, plus distinguished guests from the Dexus Property Group, celebrated the official launch of the JANUS Group’s 2 new CBD venues. Both venues situated within Sydney’s newest CBD financial hub’s, one JANUS is located within the prestigious and ‘green’ No 1 Bligh Street (www.1bligh.com.au) building with a bar located alongside the green wall outside, where the launch of the new contemporary Italian bistro’s took place (www.janus-sydney.com.au)
Owners the Michael family made sure every last detail was perfected, and JANUS was launched in true Italian style. The stage was set as guests arrived down the red carpet, bypassing the Ferrari and Lamborghini to the live sounds of a jazz and congo band, where they were greeted with the JANUS ice sculpture into the soirée to enjoy the delicious food and beverage offering.
On offer where treats from the decadent JANUS Antipasto platter, featuring an array of Italian cheeses and freshly cut cured meats plus chef, Kaz Debas’ pizzas, arancini balls, calamari, mini burgers , lamb ragu with gnocchi, mini crostini’s & a mouth-watering la luna pasta filled pumpkin, burnt butter and sage topped with amoretti biscuits. MC, Anna McGahon and owners George and Kristy Michael cut into the giant JANUS logo cake made by Planet Cake (www.planetcake.com.au) to mark the official opening of the 2 new venues.
JANUS signature cocktail’s served included the Vanilla Pash and Campari Americano’s had everyone in the party mood plus Italian wines (Fondo Antico & Col Vetoraz), Peroni beer and Aqua Panna Italian mineral waters to last a lifetime where served from the two JANUS bars.
VIP’s in attendance included MC, Channel 9’s Underbelly stars, Anna McGahon & Salvatore Coco, Celebrity Apprentice’s Mark Bouris; event guru - Anthony Del Col; Sydney’s top food bloggers & foodie/lifestyle media and the gorgeous Bianca Venuti-Hughes.
