Danielle Chiel embraced the Double Bay fashion forefront last night for the official opening of her signature boutique store showcasing her ready to wear hand made knits. Chiel’s beautiful and unique knits couldn’t have reached us at better time. As the weather starts to put up a cold front, these versatile yet stylish knits are just what we need for a cold day on the streets of Sydney. Ranging from scarves, capes, jumpers and bolero’s, Fashionistas are bound to find a handmade piece to make a statement to their winter wardrobe.
Last night’s launch event in Double Bay marks only the beginning for Chiel and her ready-to-wear knits as her juxtaposition of innovation and tradition forms a new aesthetic in the modern market place. The event combined a sophisticated social crowd with a stylish edge. A live classical band bellowed as the models took to the catwalk, while guests enjoyed delicious canapés coupled with a selection of fine wines from Robert Stein and a take home gift bag by O&M.
