On Thursday 25th August 2011, as the sun sets over Sydney Harbour, the picturesque Opera Point Marquee will once again be transformed into a fairytale playground for soon-to-be brides and grooms, for the fourth annual wedding event of the year; The Ultimate Wedding Planning Party.
Sydney’s premiere wedding venue at the Sydney Opera House will house one GALA event, starting at 6:00pm. This spectacular event allows brides and grooms to mingle with Sydney’s wedding industry planning elite and listen as they share their wisdom. Guests will be treated like stars, with champagne and canapés served by Opera Point Events, whilst strolling through the interactive and visually stunning booths, guests will come face-to-face with the industry’s leading wedding experts and the forefront of both Australian & International Bridal Fashion as they chat one on one about their upcoming nuptials.
This year, the event’s main attraction will be the bridal fashion runway show featuring the latest in bridal couture from celebrity designers, Colette Dinnigan, Lisa Gowing, VELANI by Nicky and the new collection from UK rising star Sarah Janks. Finishing the runway show will be a colourful display of Camilla kaftans for high-end honeymoon resortwear. Afterwards, the wedding industry’s best take to the stage; Juliette Winter (Editor of leading bridal publication “The Knot”), Paris Cutler (Planet Cake), Graham Monro (gm photographics), Anthony Del Col (Staging Connections) and Maya Bilalis (Maya Medispa) and address the guests with a short speech about their particular area of wedding planning expertise to ensure you have an ultimate wedding day. To finish off the night, guests are replenished with more champagne & canapés and free to meet the industry’s experts and enjoy the pampering's offered by partner brands.
